I really enjoyed playing this one! I love horror games that focus more on creating a creepy atmosphere rather than working up to a cheap jumpscare. The atmosphere really creeped me out!
I love the concept, the art style and the audio were great and I really like the backstory that's going on in this game!

Game Review: Loved #VHS perspective of the game adds a scary vibe reminding of #SilentHill series. Music and Sound effects are perfect which even gave goosebumps to me at certain points in the game. There is a sense of tension in the gameplay which is really important for a horror game. Thing I didn't like was lack of jump scares other than that game is a masterpiece. Rating: 8/10
It's nice to play a horror game without the usual jumpscares. The 1990's feel, with VHS tapes, computers with floppy disks and a moon cult, form an excellent setting to be dragged into the unknown and weird. Being incapacitated occasionally, incites a feeling of helplessness, as one's simply turned into a hapless witness, the same way pilots get a front row seat during a plane crash. So, without the usual gore and blood, this game excels at delivering a bang for a buck [even though it's free]. It was a pleasure to play and I thank all involved in making it. Well done!
I saw this on DreadXP and love found footage horror, and this really captures the genre! It's very atmospheric and spooky, and it's long enough to get what it's doing done without dragging at all. Great stuff!

The game was fun and gave me a sense of dread I currently didn't have headphones on hand but the sound design/quality was nice and I'm glad the issue of not being able to read notes was fixed cause on my first play through the story made little sense
over all a 8/10
there were parts that were scary
there were parts that were above average

but the story I don't think was expressed in a great way or was not explored thoroughly enough as far as I got from it there is a second moon and we are chosen to be one of the ascended
but the best part of the game was when you lock yourself in the room at the end of the corridor
Awesome short horror experience! There were times where the atmosphere and sound legitimately made me apprehensive about moving forward and I even put my back in a corner at one point lol. I REALLY like that you explained away something in the game that I complained about while playing. The tables blocking the stairs bit. I was shocked to actually get an answer for it. At some points I feel like the sound was TOO loud, almost making me want to take off my headphones. Also the camera effects are cool but it did start to give me a headache after a while, maybe just tone down the effect a little? Regardless, great experience overall. Thanks for making it!
Muito bom! Uma experiência única, que consegue deixar você tenso do início ao fim graças a ambientação e efeitos sonoros. Os recortes e recados que você encontra durante o jogo ajudam na imersão. Ainda deixou aquela vontade de quero mais no final. Com certeza merece ser jogado por mais gente.
This was really good! The tension was well built throughout and although I found the ending a little anti climatic I loved the lore building with the notes. It's the first game I played in my video.
I loved this! The VHS-games are always hit & miss but this one slowly lured me in. I think the atmosphere and pacing were especially fantastic. I wasn’t so sure about the story at the beginning but towards the end it really unfolded in a way that took me in 100%. You had some great visual ideas that worked so well, nothing was silly, everything added to the story and the overall dread.
I did not know that the building actually exists and only found out through the survey, maybe that’s something you can add to the game because the intro text doesn’t really make it clear that it’s based on a true story.
I'm glad you liked it! To be honest, I wasn't expecting so many people from outside my university to play the game, so I thought most people would play it knowing about the existence of the building.

Seriously great work managing to make a game that was full of tension and mystery without relying on jumpscares. Gave me some solid Local58 vibes.
